Sir Moksha Gundam Vishveshwaraiah, popularly known as Sir M.V was an Engineer - Statesman and the 19th Diwan of Mysore [1912 to 1919]. He received India's highest civilian honour, the Bharat Ratna, in 1955. He built the magnificient Krishna Raja Sagar (KRS) dam in Mysore.

A 9th century monument of national importance maintained by the Archaeological Survey of India. This prominent Hindu temple is a must-see just 2 kms away from the farm. This temple based on Dravidian style architecture has two large shrines. The "Arunachaleswara" shrine to the south built by the Gangas of Talakad, and the "Bhoga Nandeeshwara" shrine to the north built by the Cholas. It has the sculpture of a king considered to be that of Rajendra Chola.

12 kms from Muddenahalli is the famous Ghati Subramanya, an ancient Hindu temple known as a popular pilgrimage centre. The unique-ness of this temple is that the prime deity Lord Karthikeya, is found together with Lord Narasimha. People believe it as an important centre in South India for snake worship. Special rituals are performed during Brahmarathotsava and Narasimha Jayanti here.

A 16th century architectural wonder of Vijayanagara style of architecture is just 70 kilometres away. The temples are the location of mural paintings of the Vijayanagara kings and Kannada inscriptions,with profusion of carvings and paintings at almost every exposed surface of the temple. Nandi granite bull 200m from Veerabadra temple is a must-see.

Vidhurashwatha , 45 kms away is pilgrimage centre with a historical connection. It is believed that Vidhura from Mahabharata is known to have planted a sacred-peepul tree(Ashwatha).
Nearly 10 freedom fighters were martyred at this place during the freedom struggle due to police firing during the British Rule.
